WARNING! This American movie is in French!

At first I psyched myself up because I thought that it was going to be much gorrier but in fact it was a big disappointment. It had nothing to do with the first one. I have to say that this wasn't Quentin Taratino's best work. He let me down big time.

As a hardcore horror buff, I have to admit that this film was near perfect. Eli Roth definately knows what his fans want, and at times it appears that he shamelessly delivers. Hostel Part II is a perfect example of this. This film has almost anything you could want from gross-out horror. ALthough the film starts slowly, by the time it had reached its denoument it had reached the point where I started at the screen with my hand covering my open mouth in shock. This film shocks you so much early on, that by the end, you wonder what worse things you could possibly see. The ending is one of the most shocking and satisfying endings to a horror film that I've seen since the first Saw film. If you like gross-out horror, this is your film.

I was a huge fan of the first hostel. I only had a little problem with the vomiting. This one has absolutely no vomiting...except that chick who happened to be sitting a couple seats away from me. HA! I loved it...and totally recommend it to those who loved the first.

This movie is weak... weak on story and plot. Although the ending is slightly less deus ex machina than the first film it still seemed like it didn't fit (to me). Basically you already know everything you need to if you are thinking about seeing this film. Don't expect anything more than blood and shock. Not a great movie... but as for a horror film it holds it own and if you like this genre then go see this, you will enjoy yourself (and that's what going to a movie is all about).
